The tours showcased Glaston\u2019s most recent solutions, boosting efficiency and quality across glass tempering, laminating, insulating, and bending processes, giving attendees firsthand experience of the innovations driving the industry forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tempered glass production<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The highlight of the tempering demo was Glaston\u2019s FC Series E tempering line, featuring the industry-leading <strong>Autopilot<\/strong>. The only solution on the market offering a fully automated tempering process for highly variable mixed production, Autopilot impressed visitors with its ability to eliminate operator dependency, stabilize quality, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tour also introduced other automation innovations like <strong>Batch Optimization<\/strong>, a robotized solution for automatic and optimized furnace loading, <strong>Online Stress Calculation<\/strong>, which provides a highly reliable way to monitor hardening results in real time, and a new <strong>Glass Temperature Imaging <\/strong>system that ensures reliable Low-E glass temperature monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Laminated glass production<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors were introduced to the <strong>ProL\u202fSPEED<\/strong> \u2013 the world\u2019s fastest and most user-friendly laminating line for mixed glass production. The line features advanced convection control, which ensures extremely high yield and fully automatic operation \u2013 even for complex laminates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>robot building a laminate sandwich<\/strong> attracted much attention. Its gentle handling is especially valuable for thin glass applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the <strong>automatic foil trimming<\/strong> feature demonstrated how automation supports accuracy and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insulating glass production<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Rakla Tampere Oy factory, participants viewed high-performance insulating glass production with Glaston\u2019s <strong>JUMBO TPS<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> line. The demo emphasized the role of automation in creating sustainable, high-quality insulating glass units with maximum productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Automotive glass production<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tours also covered Glaston\u2019s automotive glass solutions, including <strong>MATRIX EVO<\/strong>, a modular line for bending challenging modern windshields and sunroofs. The line has proven especially effective for borosilicate glass, providing a more durable and lightweight solution than normal soda lime glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another highlight developed in collaboration with Glaston was the latest innovation from Miru, a Step Change company present at the latest two Glass Performance Days (GPD) events. The company\u2019s dynamic <strong>electrochromic windows (eWindows)<\/strong> feature a controllable glass tint level. During the tours, visitors got a glimpse of the high-tech production process behind the technology.
