It\u00a0was all by chance that we met Dip-Tech at Glasstec in Dusseldorf\u00a0in 2016. After 18 months, we\u2019ve brought our business idea to fruition,\u201d says Charlie Hill, owner of Washington Art Glass in Tyne and Wear, UK. \u201cThe key to our success has been an investment in Glaston\u2019s RC Series tempering furnace for top-quality, flat glass results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recently established as a standalone company in 2017, Washington Art Glass is\u00a0the UK specialist that offers digital ceramic\u00a0printing capabilities innovated by the Israeli\u00a0Dip-Tech firm that pioneered in-glass printing technology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been in the glass business some\u00a0time with replacement windows for\u00a0large contracts and have a tempering\u00a0line already. But it did not have the technical capabilities to match the level of\u00a0professional quality needed for ceramic\u00a0glass printing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Charlie says that he looked around the\u00a0market to find the right tempering furnace.\u00a0He read reports about the furnaces.\u00a0\u201cGlaston\u2019s furnaces always came out on<br \/>\ntop. They were the most expensive, but also\u00a0the best in terms of quality \u2013 and that\u2019s\u00a0what we were looking for. We needed to be\u00a0sure we had the quality to produce the kind\u00a0of flatness this special glass requires.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since Washington Art Glass began\u00a0tempering the specialized glass at the\u00a0start of June 2018, they\u2019ve already had\u00a0numerous new customers inquiring about the possibilities of this technology.<\/p>\n<p>Interior decorators and architects, in\u00a0particular, have been fascinated with the\u00a0idea of using glass cladding with colored\u00a0glass that doesn\u2019t fade.
