Glaston Online Stress Calculation (OSC™) Upgrade

The only online solution that tells you whether your tempered glass is safe.

OSC™ calculates real-world tempering performance for every single load while it's still in your line.
Three reasons for choosing Glaston Online Stress Calculation:

1.

Catch glass that isn't properly tempered before it leaves the line

2.

Add a layer of safety on top of your testing requirements

3.

Prevent the cost of getting it wrong

The world’s unique online solution for tempering level verification

Here’s how it works

Using the process data your line already generates, OSC™ calculates, for every load:

  • Surface stress — the compressive layer at the glass surface that gives tempered glass its strength
  • Middle pane tension — the stress at the glass core, which is what actually determines how the glass fragments if it breaks
  • Estimated fragmentation performance — a prediction of that fragmentation pattern, the same property checked in a physical fragmentation test

Results appear directly in Glaston iControL, with automatic alerts if any glass is outside the defined tolerances – giving you continuous read on the same safety outcome that the fragmentation test checks, without breaking the glass.

Moreover, OSC™ lets you define your own standard for stress levels. Define your limits once and OSC™ enforces them automatically on every glass produced. Targeting the right stress level consistently also helps avoid over-tempering, supporting better process performance and lower energy use.
