This was also one of the main drivers late last year for investing in the two Glaston FC500 furnaces. With its massive 3300 x 6000 bed size, the first of the two new Glaston FC500 furnaces, installed and commissioned in July ahead of schedule, is already adding substantial value for its owner. It’s the first 3300 mm-wide furnace in the UK that is capable of processing 4 mm thick glass in both clear and coated products. For European Glass, this enables the company to offer a portfolio of products unlike any other.
“Once the two new Glaston FC500 furnaces are both up and running at expected capacity, we’ll have all the latest technology for glass cutting and processing. This will ensure that our company can stay out in front for the foreseeable future,” Mick explains.“European Glass will be able to supply all types of high quality glass products for exterior and interior architectural applications to our main markets in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.”
