DualSeal Glass chooses Glaston FC500 tempering furnace
Dual Seal is recognized in the UK as being one of the largest independent manufacturers of high-performance vision and insulated spandrel glass panels for the construction industry. Established in the late 80s, DualSeal was an early user of soft-coated glass to improve the energy conservation of buildings.
In 2002, DualSeal purchased its first HTF flat glass tempering furnace from Tamglass to be able to deliver outstanding quality with its tempered and special coated insulated glass processing. This furnace served DualSeal well in processing even large sized glass with Low-E coatings. Today, less than ten years later, the construction market has evolved tremendously, putting increased pressure on all glass processors to provide insulated glass that meets even more challenging requirements when it comes to higher efficiency and performance.
In 2006, Dual Seal Glass, embarked on a five-year plan to focus on enhancing customer service, quality and capability for the continued supply of high-performance glass products to the commercial sector. The company’s board agreed that only equipment that reinforced the commitment to those objectives would be considered, such as the Glaston FC500 furnace.
“We see the FC500 as our opportunity to move beyond what we are currently able to deliver and help us to maximize our capabilities.”
– Geoff Hancock, Managing Director of DualSeal Glass
