Glaston FC500 gets a thumbs up from Toughglaze

As the saying goes, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. That’s why Toughglaze UK Ltd has selected the most advanced Glaston FC500 furnace for installation at the turn of 2014/15.

With this new installation, Toughglaze will maintain its superior quality for established customers as well as improve efficiency with the potential to develop new business. Based in North Acton, London, the family-owned company has been operating successfully in its chosen market for over 20 years.

The directors of Toughglaze UK Ltd chose the Glaston FC500 furnace after having experienced the robust reliability from previous glass processing equipment machines supplied by Glaston.

“Our customers have been asking for better quality glass in larger sizes,” Bharat Varsani, Director at Toughglaze, explains. “Now we have the capacity for glass up to 6 meters with the use of the FC500. Additionally, the furnace enables us to produce flatter glass that we can then further process in our own laminating factory.”

“By investing in the latest state-of-the-art equipment such as the Glaston FC500 furnace, Toughglaze UK Ltd will be positioned to offer customers the continuity of supply with improved quality.”
– Bharat Varsani, Director at Toughglaze
