Second Glaston FC500 soon in operation

“I’d say we’ve always been informed opportunists,” states Tim Kelley, owner of TriStar Glass. “What sets us apart is being able to move fast, to adapt quickly to change. We’re proud of being privately owned and independent. Our company has been built by our people who give us a constant competitive edge. And we invest in quality.”

Tim Kelley founded Tri Star Glass 11 years ago in Catoosa in the greater Tulsa metropolitan area in Oklahoma. But he’s no newcomer to the glass industry. Previously, he and his brother Mike worked for another metal and glass supplying company in the region.

“We knew Glaston, formerly Tamglass, from our past and had always had good success with the machinery. When I started up in Tulsa, I purchased my first super convection furnace from Glaston that is still working today. Once we upgraded it with Glaston’s Vortex technology, we relocated the furnace to our Dallas plant with some reinstallation support from Glaston,” Tim Kelley, owner of TriStar Glass, says.

Today, TriStar Glass has two older super convection furnaces from Glaston along with the two most recent FC500 furnace investments for a total of four machines.

“The reason to select Glaston’s FC500 line was that we wanted an uptick in our technology. Minimum roll wave and no glass distortion are the requirements from the larger commercial construction builders we serve. It seemed to us that Glaston FC500™represented the best technology on the market for products that are hard to temper. The furnace offers high performance for Low-E, which is exactly what we were looking for.”
– Tim Kelley, owner of TriStar Glass
