Viridian Group, Australia trusts on Glaston Care

Viridian’s roots in Australia’s glass industry stretch back to the 1930’s when Pilkington Glass delivered its first products to the market and also more recently with DMS in the early 1980s. In 2007, Viridian was formed as the glass division, focusing on glass and glazing capabilities, when CSR Building Products acquired Pilkington Australia and DMS Glass. Today, Viridian is Australia’s largest provider of glass and the only Australian manufacturer of float glass and hard coat performance products. The company has operations in New Zealand and has some export to Asia.

Viridian has been a long-term customer for the Glaston Care agreement, which currently covers eight locations in Australia and New Zealand with a total of 9 Glaston furnaces.

“The idea of the agreement was initially introduced to us more than 10 years ago as our furnace warranty period was coming to an end. With our new equipment, we wanted to continue along the same lines that we had had until then. Glaston, formerly Tamglass, has been our partner in tempering furnaces for more than 20 years.”
