Arcon-dur chooses Glaston Care for quick support and maintenance availability

With customers around the world from New Zealand to Europe, as well as many in its home market of Germany, Arcon-Dur has gained a world-known reputation for itself in top-quality Low-E, solar and safety glass for buildings, such as multistory structures. The company has two factories in Germany, in Feuchtwangen and Jena, and takes pride in its extraordinary level of service for its customers that goes beyond industry norms.

“When we bought our Glaston Tamglass HTF ProE 2442 furnace in 2000, we decided to get the Glaston Care service agreement at the same time,” says Horst Würzburger, Technical Manager at Arcon-Dur. “The reason for the agreement was to have quick support and maintenance availability for our machines in case of emergency. Since we use our machines literally around the clock, it is essential to have reliable service. Glaston Care is also used as an opportunity to check the machine on a regular basis.”

Würzburger continues: “We get a visit from specialists at least once a year to make an assessment of the functioning of our furnace and to supply spare parts. The specialists come for about two days and also write up a report, which is made based on their findings from the service visits. We find these reports to be very useful.”

“Occasionally we need to order more production line parts, which we usually get quickly and easily from Glaston as part of the agreement. And we appreciate that the spare parts fit well.”

“We are satisfied with the Glaston Care agreement, because it’s reliable and Glaston is an experienced company.”
– Horst Würzburger, Technical Manager at Arcon-Dur
